Lichtalben is a non-commercial music and culture festival in rural NRW that's happening in a roughly bi-yearly cycle. I was first asked to employ a new website for the festival in 2019, followed by redesigns in the succeeding editions in 2021 and 2023. For the last version Lennart Leibold made some beautiful illustrations which now adorn the page.
The Lichtalben crew tries to bring urban culture to more rural areas. In an effort to make the festival accessible for those usually excluded from these kind of events, they decided to make all bars donation-based and have different price categories for the tickets.
In 2021 corona-related restrictions led to the need of selling tickets in advance to the festival. To keep the entry-barrier as low as possible, an interactive chatbot was installed through which a fitting ticket price could be found.
